More Volunteer Opportunities
Since we do not obtain funding from state, local or federal governments, we are always looking for volunteers to assist us.
Photographers: Is your special skill photography? We are looking for someone to help document some of our events as well and take photos of our clients for special stories.
Office Volunteers: Assist our office staff by answering phones, assisting with mailings and newsletters, making calls to volunteers, donors and clients, and computer data entry. We appreciate the help of our office volunteers and enjoy working with them!
Pantry Bag Delivery: If you are only available evenings and weekends, we could use your help delivering our pantry bags. We have been regularly sending out pantry bags and are looking for additional drivers to deliver them and visit with our clients.
Birthday Bag Delivery (Also called Client Services Committee): This team of volunteers collects, sorts, and makes beautiful gift bags to send out to our clients. Bags are delivered on client birthdays to make the day special!
Events and Fundraisers: Each year Fluvanna Meals on Wheels holds events that require a substantial number of volunteers. If you want to volunteer, but are presently working during the day, these events may be an option for you as some of them are held on weekends.
